Stress-free Auckland Boating

The Marina at Tamaki Marine Park provides Auckland’s big boat owners with alternative that appeals in so many ways. Compared to the bustling ‘city’ based marinas, Tamaki Marine Park is very much a tranquil escape. The park’s strategic location along the Tamaki Estuary also provides easy access to the Hauraki Gulf. In terms of nautical distance, it’s closer to Waiheke than Westhaven, minus the inner harbour traffic.

John Williams, a boat owner who switched from a city marina to Tamaki Marine Park, is a big fan.

"We love the cruise up the river to get to the harbour compared to a hectic battle getting out from the city which can be quite stressful sometimes with lots of boats out. I used to have my boat stored in the city but found the time was the same to get out to the harbour from Tamaki Marine Park. I have used the services from the Boatyard too and it's been very good, but what we love is the helpful staff from the boys on the Marina and Donna in the office who is always happy to help."

With berths accommodating boats up to 30 meters and a focus on convenience and security, Tamaki Marine Park caters to diverse boating needs. Facilities include onsite power and water, a secure boat yard with 24-hour monitoring, and ample parking. Notably, the park is disability-friendly, ensuring accessibility for all.

The park’s proximity to motorway exits, just a 3-minute drive away is another big bonus. And as John points out, the boat owners enjoy the serene journey from the park along to the Tamaki River and out to the harbour is a stark contrast to the city’s congested waters.

Tamaki Marine Park Auckland stands out not just for its facilities but also for its warm, helpful staff. This combination of strategic location, top-notch amenities, and exceptional service makes it a stress-free destination for Auckland’s boating community.
